Smallbridge, Cheltenham

Built in the 1980s, and starting to show its age. But a spacious house in a great location - suffering from a strange layout and dark, narrow stairs, and low 'street appeal'.

Our solution was for a relatively small extension to the first floor, with a new stair in a double height hallway. The kitchen and bathroom was refitted, along with extensive underfloor heating and porcelain tiled floors. This was combined with a new heating system and PV panels; together with the new external insulation and rendering provides a contemporary look with greatly improved thermal performance. Its impact to the street is further improved with a new flat green roof - there are plans to extend this further onto a new detached garage, completing an entrance court.
